I know a book series named The Wardstone Chronicles. This is an eight book series. The first book, The Spook's Apprentice is about a boy named Tom who was given in apprenticeship at an old spook. From that moment, Tom's life became realy hard. Before him, many others couldn't reach the spook's tasks. He must learn how to defeat ghosts and witches. This book was written by the English teacher from UK, Joseph Delaney.
