Lucifer - The TV Series, Season 1 (spoilers)
17:13:00
I
know that I've mostly talked about books on this blog.
But
I think for once, that it's time for a little change.
A
few weeks ago I've come across a new TV series that I loved since the
first few moments of me watching it. Yes, I'm talking about Lucifer.
You
may not be familiar with this kind of content, so I'll give you some
info:
Lucifer is
a brand new TV series that has made its debut around the beginning of
2016, and is based on a comic. Both the comic and the television
series tell the story of Lucifer..., yeah, you know, THE
DEVIL. He basically comes to Earth because he is done with hell
and he would just like a vacation, like any of us would every once in
a while.
His
life is just so simple, doing only what he really desires,
without taking responsibility. The things that he does are not
really that PG so I'm gonna leave it to you to find out how he
actually spends his freetime. Meanwhile, lets get on with the story.
So,
as I was saying, he's come down to earth with his demon helper, a
woman, Mazikeen, he's been given a new name and ID and he was just
living the dream in his nightclub, LUX, until something unexpected
happened, a murder.
Following
the murder which he was a witness in, Lucifer Morningstar met Chloe
Decker, a female detective who was, suprisingly, immune to Lucifer's
charms.
This
ability that detective Decker had made her an interesting subject to
our dear devil, that is why he continued helping her in multiple
cases.
Their
story really evolves in a sort of way, I might say, I didn't expect
it would.
After
the first few episodes you really start digging it and you just don't
want to stop from watching Lucifer and his "demonic"
adventures. In some way, this new TV show reminds me of the BBC
version of Sherlock with no other than Benedict Cumberbatch (<3)
as the main character. Unfortunately, I don't think Lucifer will be
as big as Sherlock is, mainly because the story is harder to produce,
whereas the guys from Sherlock can just take some of Sir Arthur Conan
Doyle's stories and reinvent them.
For
now, Lucifer
has finished its first season, of just 13 episodes, with a
cliffhanger that provides the viewer with the relief of being able to
watch the "Devil on Earth" for at least another season,
which comes out in the autumn.
So,
as I have said before, this TV show is a bombshelland you should definitely check it out when the time allows you. It aired on Fox at the
beginning of the year but I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to
illegally watch it online. *wink*
Enjoy! :)
Enjoy! :)
