A Song Of Ice And Fire Review (small spoilers)

I've been reading game of thrones… oh…  my bad…  a SONG Of Ice And Fire by George R. R. Martin for the past five months and I've got to say that this series has really introduced me to the fictional and rough world which is Westeros.
When I first put my eyes on the pages of the first book, I couldn't get them off because the story was too catchy. That's how I finished reading 800 pages in just a  couple of  days. The beginning actually reminds me of The Hobbit or Lord Of The Rings but the first hundred pages can assure you that they are not even close to each other. And by that I am referring to Jamie doing the dirty thing with his sister, Cersei, in a ruin from the winterfell Castle.
Character wise, you really get to know all of them in detail, cause the author has left no space, however small, no gap in the description of the main characters as well as for the secondary ones who usually play a pretty important role in the story.
The whole series is divided into 7 books. Each of the books has two volumes which contains the dangerous and entertaining adventures that the “paper-made beings” have to go through to to succeed in their mission.
I personally prefer the books to the TV series because they can give you a much more detailed perspective of the action and they can immerse you in a universe that has never existed before, which doesn't have anything to do with reality. The only thing that you can watch the hbo series for is that the TV show makers made a different script and the action could be taking different roads from the ones that you are used to if you have ever laid your eyes upon the masterpiece that is George R. R. Martin’s Series.
To conclude, the holiday season is coming and what better way to spend your free time is there than reading A Song Of Ice and Fire, a couple of books that will make you cringe when someone is beheaded or cry when one of your favourite characters loses and important battle, gets killed, dies a couple of times and then resurrects because his friend is a Red Priest or whatever Lord Balon Dondarrion had.
Have fun with George R. R. Martin’s books, but don't forget, oh, my summer child, that the winter is coming and thus the white walkers will come and give you the cold and sour kiss of death in the middle of the night, especially  if you are a Crow.
